His music &amp; literary output has captured a unique Australian essence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_2\">Since 1980, the music public has known of Steve &amp; his band The Church. Sometimes they are loved and sometimes they are forgotten, but like old friends they are always fondly embraced. Their latest release Untitled #23 was critically acclaimed as was the subsequent tour of the USA &amp; Australia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_2\">Kilbey himself is a changed man after years of living the traditional rock lifestyle.
