Sydney were competitive for the first half of the match, but Geelong looked to be in complete control despite the Swans resistance and 3+ goal lead. The Cats paced themselves perfectly as they ran out the game in dominating fashion after the half time break. The win was sweeter for Geelong with key forward Tom Hawkins celebrating his 250th game in style by booting 5 goals. The loss to Sydney ends any ideas of a finals berth with only 4 matches remaining for the 2019 season.<\/p>\n
<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5756\" data-attachment-id=\"5756\" data-permalink=\"https:\/\/newellmediagroup.com\/wp\/?attachment_id=5756\" data-orig-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newellmediagroup.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/hawkctwb.jpg?fit=800%2C863&ssl=1\" data-orig-size=\"800,863\" data-comments-opened=\"0\" data-image-meta=\"{"aperture":"4","credit":"Photo: Jodie Newell","camera":"Canon EOS 60D","caption":"","created_timestamp":"1492413909","copyright":"No reproduction in any form without written consent","focal_length":"22","iso":"500","shutter_speed":"0.01","title":"","orientation":"1"}\" data-image-title=\"hawkctwb\" data-image-description=\"\" data-image-caption=\"<p>Relieved.
