The win is the team’s third in a row and is another record smashed for season 2015. The Giants got off to a flying start booting five goals in the first 14 minutes, with Shane Mumford dominating the ruck against a quality opponent in Sam Jacobs. Adelaide steadied and were able to respond by kicking three goals for the quarter. Dylan Shiel, Ryan Griffen and Stephen Cogniglio were outstanding early for the Giants providing plenty of drive off the superb tap work of Mumford. The defense of the GWS Giants also effectively nullified the Crows potentially potent forward line, with solid work by Joel Patfull, Heath Shaw and Nick Haynes. The only bright lights for the Adelaide were Rory Laird and Patrick Dangerfield who worked hard in the midfield to supply the ball to their key forwards in Taylor Walker and Eddie Betts. As they game wore on, Adelaide fought hard for the ball and we inching closer to the Giants lead, getting as close a 5 points. But as is the case when good sides have challenged the Giants, they were able to respond and they maintained their lead.

GWS midfielder Adam Treloar was superb amassing 35 disposals against Adelaide

Misfortune would disrupt the Adelaide team when they suffered two key injuries. As good sides do, the GWS Giants exploited the opportunity and poured on 8 goals to virtually seal the match.

To the Crows credit it could have been a total shellacking, but they were able to post 3 goals and finish on a respectable note.
